Shruti Haasan confirms film with Tamil superstar Vijay

Shruti Haasan, who has become

one of the most sought-after actresses in southern filmdom, will team up next with Tamil superstar Vijay in a yet-untitled film in the language. She says it will be an epic film.

"Am super happy to be vijay sirs leading lady in Chimbudevan's next! Time to make an epic film! #tamilponnu #excitement #superu #whatastory," Shruti posted on her Twitter page Tuesday. Touted to be a fantasy film, this project will be helmed by Chimbudevan. The regular shooting is expected to start as soon as Vijay completes his upcoming film "Kaththi" with Murugadoss. Shruti is currently busy wrapping up Tamil actioner "Poojai" with Vishal Krishna.

'Thala 55' has an intense love story

In a recent interview, Trisha was at her usual best and discussed so many things about her real/reel life. The actress who sustained more than ten years and still commands a wonderful fan base in South India. 

While answering a question to what the team 'Thala 55' can deliver, she mentioned, the movie contains an intense love story than, 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya'. We are trying something new and hopefully it goes well with the audience. She adds that, Bollywood is not my piece of cake, one must devote a lot of time for promotional activities besides acting in a movie. I don't want to leave my home ground (Kollywood/Tollywood) and start from scratch once again to prove myself. I'm not saying no to Bollywood, but at the same time, I just can't devote so much time to it. Every few months I read that I am getting married but that's not true! When I do decide to tie the knot, I'll be the first to let my fans and well wishers know. I think I owe them that much," said Trisha.

Deepika Padukone Turns Down Vijay's Film, Shruti Hassan Replaces Her?

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was reportedly in talks with Chimbudevan's men for his next movie with Illayathalapathy Vijay. It was widely reported that she had been roped in to play the female lead role. But now, it appears like she has opted out of the film and paved way for Shruti Hassan for the role. 

The latest buzz says that the talks between Deepika Padukone and Chimbudevan have failed and the Bollywood actress has opted out of the project. The actress, who is making her Tamil debut in Rajinikanth starrer Kochadaiiyaan, had reportedly shown Interest to act alongside the Illayathalapathy. 

But in the end, she has dropped the project for some reasons. The readymade reason for Deepika Padukone opting out of the Tamil film is date issues. We have to note that Chimbudevan had reportedly knocked Priyanka Chopra's doors. But she too could not take up for some reasons even though she wanted to return to Kollywood after a long time.

Saivam Movie Review and song

Director Vijay has worked with stars like

Ajith Kumar, Vikram, Vijay and Arya. He made commercial movies in his own style and tasted success. But unfortunately, his last two movies (Thaandavam and Thalaivaa) did not meet the audience expectations. His decision to woo mass audience made him compromise on what he believed in. 

The director, who married Amala Paul recently, is now returning with his latest project Saivam. This time, Vijay is making the movie without any star cast. He wants the story to be the real hero and has chosen actors as per the script's needs. Nassar, Baby Sara, Luthfuden Baasha, Paul Manoj, Shanmugarajan, Kausalya, Kalyanai Natarajan, Shakti and others are in the cast. 

Saivam has GV Prakash Kumar's music and Nirvah Shah's editing with Anthony taking the responsibility of editing department. Now, let us see what the movie has to offer. Story: The movie promotes vegetarianism. The opening note of the movie says that the film is dedicated to vegans. So, one could easily expect Saivam to have a message on it and the director conveys it without any exaggeration. 

Hence, even those who consume non-vegetarian will not get bored or get irritated. Kathersan (Nassar), is a respectable man, who is settled in a village with his son and granddaughter Tamilselvi (Sara). A bad omen reminds Kathersan of a 'Nerthikadan' (a practise of offering god something if their wish comes true). Three years before, the family had promised the local deity of offering an animal and it has not been fulfilled yet. So, they believe that it is the root cause of all problems. Hence, they decided to offer 'Pappa', a rooster nurtured in their house, to the God.

Kalakalappu 2 Not On The Cards

Sundar C's Kalakalappu was one of the superhits

of 2012. The movie, which was made with a decent budget, had made wonderful business at Box Office. In the recent times, there were reports that the director was getting ready to make a sequel to it.

But he has now denied the reports and said that he doesn't have such plans in the near future. The director has released a press release in which he has cleared that he has wrapped up the shoots of Aranmanai and his next film is with Vishal. 

"I have completed shooting for Aranmanai. My next film will be with Vishal and I'll not be working on Kalakalappu 2 now," he said in the statement.

Sundar C is now busy with the post-production works of Aranmanai. It is a horror-comedy featuring Hansika Motwani, Vinay Rai, Santhanam, Lakshmi Rai, Andrea Jeremiah, Nithin Sathya and others are in the cast. 

The forthcoming Tamil movie will hit the screens next month. After the release of Aranmanai, Sundar C will start working on next movie starring Vishal Krishna and Hansika Motwani. The shooting of this movie will kick-start in September.

Main Tera Hero - Movie Review

Main Tera Hero, featuring Varun Dhawan,

Ileana D'Cruz, and Nargis Fakhri, is a romantic comedy film, directed by David Dhawan. The much awaited flick hits the screens today and fans has been waiting for it with bated breath.  Main Tera Hero, directed by David Dhawan, is tone deaf comedy that annoys everyone with a good IQ to the core.

Yes, you need to keep you brain at home before watching a comedy, but the nature of the genre should not be a license to show anything in the pretense of a movie. As a movie, Main Tera Hero doesn't work at all. It seems like David Dhawan overestimated the brand value of his son-actor Varun Dhawan who is just one film old.

The man is pushed to his limits to be the next Ranbir Kapoor in a movie founded on the weak base of a terrible screenplay. It is not that Varun is bad but he doesn't have such a fan base to support this kind of his tone deaf movies. 

From the beginning of the title sequence, girls were cheering for Varun, but the film lets all of them down finally! You can't even enjoy Main Tera Hero by thinking that the movie is stop stupid so it would be a lot of fun! No, this one bores you to death. Movie tells the story of Sreenath Prasad AKA Seenu who loves Sunaina (Ileana), but is kidnapped by Ayesha (Nargis Fakhri) because she saw him in a train and liked him. 

Ayesha, daughter of a gangster who looks like a joker, wants Seenu to be her life partner. How Seenu tricks both the gangster and the daughter and getting united with Sunaina forms the story (Yawn)! Varun's character is that of a over smart guy who doesn't have any clue about life and yes, education too! He tries his best to fix the lamest lines he is given! Both girls, Ileana and Nargis are looking good in the film, but don't have much to do! Film looks slick, but reminds you often of old David Dhawan-Salman brain dead movies. 

Screenplay is a huge pile of scenes that have nothing in them. The ones who like to watch Varun Dhawan doing some 'over the top' performance as if he is in some kind of street drama (shouting and singing all the time), can watch it. This is 'just another David Dhawan movie'.

Humshakals Movie Review: Nine Times The Dull

Makers of the film Humshakals has been claiming to offer nine times the fun but it seems the makers' sense of fun is way too low. 

Multi starrer flick featuring Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor, Esha Gupta, Bipasha Basu and Tamanna Bhatia has made a grand release today but the film has very little to leave any grandness. The movie Humshakals has introduced the concept of triple roles in Indian cinema for the first time and has involved quite many popular comedy actors in the film but sadly, the film lacks in good sense of humour and strong punch lines. 

Although, Riteish who has established himself as a good comic hero has offered some fine humour while, Saif and Ram also could bring out some laughter through their comic timings, but to make a film run well, a lot more is needed. 

To give a hint of the story of Humshakals, Saif (Ashok), a millionaire's son and Riteish (Kumar) are best friends who are unaware of their look-alikes who in turn also have look-alikes. On the other side Ram (Mamaji) who is Saif's wicked uncle also has two look-alikes, neither of whom are aware about the funny thing. 

And to make things even more confusing for the characters, all the three look-alikes of the three characters also have the same names Humshakals offers some cheesy comic sense on which the audience can have a laughter only out of force and the actors have very little to be blamed for that. While, most part of the film Humshakals appears to be a dull watch, certain scenes when Saif, Riteish and Ram come in their female avatars do bring some laughter for the audience. 

Like any other Sajid Khan movies, female leads, Bipasha, Esha and Tamanna have very little to showcase other than their glamour quotient and the ending of the film is as disastrous as the most hyped dialogue "Hum Pagal Nehin Hain...Hamara Dimag Kharab Hai" in the film.
